Seniors Participate in College Essay Writing Workshop
Seniors in the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School, a NYS P-TECH program, participated in a college essay workshop on Wednesday, October 8th at Hudson Valley Community College's North Campus. A representative from the Admissions Office at Skidmore College talked to students about the admission process and tips and tricks for the college essay. This presentation is part of our "College Kick Off" for students as they begin the college search and application process. Students have the opportunity to complete their Associate's Degree at HVCC after their senior year of high school. At least fifty percent of our students finish their degree and then continue on to a four year institution. The college essay writing process is important for all students as they learn about the writing process. This also assists students with the skills for scholarship essays.
