P-TECH Program to Host Prospective Student Shadow Day- Information Below for Registrants

Here is a follow up of information for next Thursday's  (February 12th) Shadow Day at the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School Program.  If your child has signed up to attend, the information is below.   If your child is no longer able to attend, please email ECHS Program Coordinator, Adrienne Snow, asnow@bscsd.org so that they can removed them from the list.  

Here is some information regarding the day:

  • This event is for students only. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend our evening Information Night on March 5th. Students should arrive by 8 AM so that we can fit everything in.  The program ends at 9:30 AM.  Students will sign in, receive a name tag and folder, and then we will take them to one of the upstairs classrooms for a program overview.

  • The address is 345 Hermes Road in Malta.  Once you arrive in the STEP park, you will take a right at the 1st stop sign.  At the next stop sign, you will stop and continue on to another stop sign.  At that stop sign you will take a left.  The building is going to be up on your left and has many solar panels and a wind turbine.  Students who attend Ballston Spa will take the bus from Ballston Spa Middle School at 7:30 AM to come over.  Details to follow from Mrs. O'Connor.  I am not sure if other districts are transporting their students, so please reach out to your home school counselor.

  • There are vending machines that students get excited about, so if you want to give them money for a snack they will have access to the machines.

  • Students will have a brief overview of the program, a mini challenge, and will tour the different grade level classrooms and our new STEM Education Center. 

  • Since this is a college campus, there is no nurse on site.
