Mentors in the Restaurant Industry Work with Students on Food Truck

Mentors in the Restaurant Industry Work with Students on Food Truck

Students in tenth grade at the Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School returned to Hudson Valley Community College's North Campus on Tuesday to collaborate with their groups on developing an idea for a food truck.  Mentors from both the Speckled Pig Brewing Co. and Smith's Smokeshack at Nanola worked with students on developing a logo, menu, list of appliances, advertisement, and design.  Based on their experience, the mentors were able to provide students with feedback on their ideas in order to further develop them for the November Student Project Exhibition.  Students explored the Entrepreneurship pathway by speaking to local entrepreneurs with experience and great ideas!

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or learning about the P-TECH program, please contact ECHS Program Coordinator Adrienne Snow, asnow@bscsd.org.
