Clean Tech ECHS Hosted Student Shadow Day

Clean Tech ECHS Hosted Student Shadow Day

The Clean Technologies & Sustainable Industries Early College High School hosted a Shadow Day for prospective students Thursday March 27th.  Thirty eight students from eight different schools attended the P-TECH program for the morning.  Students participated in a mini challenge where they had to put together a zip line racer with students from other schools in a thirty minute time period. The activity gave students an opportunity to experience what it is like to solve a problem with an innovative solution while collaborating with group members they do not know. Current seniors and juniors in the program assisted students with the challenge. Visiting students met with current tenth grade students and learned about the Norsk Titanium challenge, what product they were creating to incorporate it, and the engineering process they followed in order to ensure success. Students participated in an Entrepreneurship college class and visited each of the eleventh and twelfth grade classes.

Applications are due to the program on May 9th. Please contact ECHS Program Coordinator, Adrienne Snow, asnow@bscsd.orgwith any questions.
